Budget level

What a stay in Cannes costs

In Cannes, accommodation prices depend heavily on the dates. According to KAYAK, a room in a four-star hotel averages about €235 a night. January is the cheapest month and June the most expensive; May, during the film festival, is expensive too.

Palm Bus runs the city buses: a ticket costs €1.70 and a 7-day pass €17. The Pass Sud Azur Explore gives unlimited trains and buses from Cannes to Menton, including Nice and Monaco: €35 for 3 days or €50 for 7 days.

The Croisette, the old quarter of Le Suquet and the public beaches are free. The boat to Sainte-Marguerite island costs €19 round trip, and entry to the Fort Royal €6.50. A beach sunbed costs from €20 a day at Bijou Plage to €90 and more at the private Croisette beaches.

How we estimate

These amounts are estimates built from publicly available prices: average accommodation prices for the month and typical daily spending on food, public transport and attractions. For months where we found no data, we filled in our own estimate. Actual prices depend on your dates and where you stay.

For children up to 12 we assume 60% of an adult's food cost and 50% of an adult's attractions cost. At budget and standard level we price families with children an apartment or family room for up to four people; at luxury level one room takes two adults and one child. These are our assumptions. The luxury level has no upper limit, so we show a “from” amount.
