What a stay in Las Vegas costs
In Las Vegas, rooms can cost less than in other big US cities, but many hotels add a daily resort fee. According to KAYAK, a four-star room averages about $220 a night. September is the cheapest month and April the most expensive, and prices soar during CES and the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
A Deuce bus ride along the Strip costs $4, and a 24-hour RTC pass $8. RTC buses serve Harry Reid airport; taxis to the Strip charge a flat zone fare of $22.25–30.25 plus fees.
The Bellagio fountains, the Fremont Street light show and the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign are free. The High Roller costs $23.50 by day and $34.75 at night, and tickets for The Wizard of Oz at Sphere start at $109.
How we estimate
These amounts are estimates built from publicly available prices: average accommodation prices for the month and typical daily spending on food, public transport and attractions. For months where we found no data, we filled in our own estimate. Actual prices depend on your dates and where you stay.
For children up to 12 we assume 60% of an adult's food cost and 50% of an adult's attractions cost. At budget and standard level we price families with children an apartment or family room for up to four people; at luxury level one room takes two adults and one child. These are our assumptions. The luxury level has no upper limit, so we show a “from” amount.
