Budget level

What a stay in Saint-Tropez costs

Saint-Tropez is one of the most expensive places on the French Riviera, and prices depend heavily on the season. According to KAYAK, hotels are cheapest in November, and high season peaks in July. The accommodation prices in the calculator are our estimate.

There is no train to Saint-Tropez. In summer the road is often jammed, so many visitors arrive by boat from Sainte-Maxime: €9.20 one way, €16.30 round trip.

The port, the old town and the public part of Pampelonne beach are free. Entry to the Gendarmerie and Cinema Museum, known from the Gendarme of Saint-Tropez films, costs €5, the same as the Citadel with its maritime history museum. A sunbed at a Pampelonne beach club costs €75–85 a day.

How we estimate

These amounts are estimates built from publicly available prices: average accommodation prices for the month and typical daily spending on food, public transport and attractions. For months where we found no data, we filled in our own estimate. Actual prices depend on your dates and where you stay.

For children up to 12 we assume 60% of an adult's food cost and 50% of an adult's attractions cost. At budget and standard level we price families with children an apartment or family room for up to four people; at luxury level one room takes two adults and one child. These are our assumptions. The luxury level has no upper limit, so we show a “from” amount.
