Budget level

What a stay in Split costs

In Split, accommodation is the biggest cost, and prices depend heavily on the season. According to KAYAK, an average double room costs about €115 a night in March and about €475 in July; rooms sell out fast during the Ultra Europe festival.

The center is walkable. From the airport, take the Promet bus for €3 or the Platanus shuttle for €10 (€15 round trip).

The lanes of Diocletian's Palace, the Peristyle and the Riva promenade are free; the palace substructures cost €10. Marjan Hill and Bačvice Beach are within walking distance.

How we estimate

These amounts are estimates built from publicly available prices: average accommodation prices for the month and typical daily spending on food, public transport and attractions. For months where we found no data, we filled in our own estimate. Actual prices depend on your dates and where you stay.

For children up to 12 we assume 60% of an adult's food cost and 50% of an adult's attractions cost. At budget and standard level we price families with children an apartment or family room for up to four people; at luxury level one room takes two adults and one child. These are our assumptions. The luxury level has no upper limit, so we show a “from” amount.
