Budget level

What a stay in Tenerife costs

In Tenerife, accommodation is the biggest cost. According to KAYAK, hotels in Adeje, by the Costa Adeje beaches, are cheapest in July (about €210 a night on average) and most expensive in April (about €540); winter, the main season, is expensive too.

TITSA bus 40 from Tenerife South airport to Costa Adeje costs €3.70. A day travelcard for buses and the tram across the island costs €10 and a 7-day card €50 (plus €2 for the Ten+ card).

The Teide cable car costs from €43 round trip; buy tickets ahead. The beaches, Teide National Park and the view of the Los Gigantes cliffs are free.

How we estimate

These amounts are estimates built from publicly available prices: average accommodation prices for the month and typical daily spending on food, public transport and attractions. For months where we found no data, we filled in our own estimate. Actual prices depend on your dates and where you stay.

For children up to 12 we assume 60% of an adult's food cost and 50% of an adult's attractions cost. At budget and standard level we price families with children an apartment or family room for up to four people; at luxury level one room takes two adults and one child. These are our assumptions. The luxury level has no upper limit, so we show a “from” amount.
